Amaechi is like biblical Esther, he has shamed his enemies – APC

The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Rivers State has hailed the performance of immediate past governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi at the Senate on Thursday.

The Rivers chapter of the APC in a statement by the Chairman, Dr. Davies Ibiamu Ikanya, said Amaechi had shunned his critics with his star performance.

PDP is the grandfather of democracy in Nigeria – Mimiko

Ondo State governor and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olusegun Mimiko has described the former ruling party as the ‘grand father of democracy in Nigeria.’

He gave this attribute while speaking at the 67th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party in Abuja.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has revealed the impression of some world leaders about President Muhammadu Buhari.
The ex -President, who spoke with reporters at his Abeokuta home yesterday, added that despite Nigeria’s “mistakes and missteps,” it is not doing badly at 55 as a nation.
Obasanjo added that 55 years in the life of a nation was still relatively young and notwithstanding this, the country had managed to be dynamic and progressive.

Ministerial list: Buhari Finally Opens Up...See What He said to Nigerians


President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday confirmed the submission of the first set of names for ministerial nominees to the Senate for final confirmation.

The president, who announced this in a broadcast in Abuja to mark Nigeria’s 55th Independence Anniversary, said subsequent list would be forwarded to the senate in due course.
